Church
Facilitating a connection with your church can be an invaluable support to FHC. This contact can provide the opportunity for:
1) participation in our Child Sponsorship Program;
2) a church mission team visit to FHC;
3) opportunities to support the ministry in prayer; and more.
We recommend that you speak with your church Missions Director or Outreach Coordinator and share from your heart about your experience with FHC. What might you say? We suggest: “I’ve been involved with an amazing ministry in Ecuador called For His Children. They care for abandoned children and do it with such love and excellence… I want more people at our church to know about it. May I make brochures and a DVD available after church on _(date)__?”Church staff will want time to check out FHC on their own, so be prepared to give them a brochure with FHC’s website and help facilitate additional information if needed.
It makes sense to support FHC. Here are some reasons why:
1) Ninety six cents of every dollar contributed to FHC is used to directly benefit the children in its Ecuadorian programs. Ask for financial information at info@forhischildren-ecuador.org.
2) FHC is a U.S. IRS-recognized 501(c )3 organization founded in 1990, and a legally recognized non-profit organization in Ecuador (Corporación Para Sus Niños), with a proven record of providing quality care to the children in its programs.
3) It’s easy to say “FHC provides quality care for children and works to high standards in the area of child protection in Ecuador.” But the personal testimony and reports of those who have visited and been a part of the ministry can provide an independent assessment of our mission. Or check out FHC by planning a visit, or request contact information for pastors, professors, social workers and other professionals who know FHC from personal experience. Ask for a list of leaders of church and university mission teams that have visited FHC and evidenced the quality of care. Request contact info of families who have adopted children from FHC who can tell about the ministry and our staff’s dedication.
4) FHC/CPSN take our mission and work seriously, as evidenced by our highly educated and trained staff, our standards of excellence, the importance we place on strategic planning, implementation, evaluation and our work to establish metrics to critically assess our efforts… and of course, the love and attention we give to each and every child. Our regular monthly newsletter shares the challenges and successes of the ministry, and transparency with our donors and supporters is encouraged.
5) A non-profit organization that is always changing for the better means it has a growing network of people who embrace the same vision and mission. FHC’s Board of Directors provides key direction and oversight to the ministry. If you would like to contact a member of the Board of Directors, write info@forhischildren-ecuador.org.
